Mae V Personal Trainer - Terms and Conditions

 

Your Health & Safety


 

  1. Before taking part in ANY activity, you will be required to complete a PAR-Q health questionnaire. This is for your own safety and will ensure you are okay to proceed. I reserve the right to delay/refuse commencement of training if I feel that there may be any conditions, health issues or physical impairments which may impact your health and/or wellbeing, or become worsened from exercise, and require written permission from your GP. We will discuss this prior to commencement of your first session.
     

  2. If you have any concerns or medical issues which you feel may have an effect on your training, or which you feel may be affected by increasing your exercise programme, please consult your GP prior to your first session.
     

  3. It is your full responsibility to ensure that you are in good physical health and do not suffer from any condition which could prevent you from completing a training session safely. Please inform me of any difficulties you perceive or experience as well as any changes to your physical and medical condition.
     

  4. You consent to being aware of your own health and physical condition and having knowledge that your participation in this program and fitness testing procedures may be injurious to your health and you are voluntarily participating in Mae V Personal Trainer (MVPT) exercise programmes. Having such knowledge you thereby release MVPT from liability for accidental injury, illness or death which you may incur as a result of participating in any programme. You hereby assume all risks connected therewith and consent to participate in the programme.
     

  5. If you have a condition that your or I feel may affect you and your training, but you have obtained consent from your GP then please get them to attach a signed and dated consent note on headed paper from your surgery and staple it to your PARQ.
     

  6. Appropriate clothing at footwear must be worn at all times (no jeans or flip flops) and any jewellery must be removed (with the exception of sports/fitness watches).


 

Your Personal Belongings

 

  1. MVPT will not accept liability for any damage or loss to your personal property. Your belongings are entirely your responsibility. 

 

Payments

 

  1. All one-time payments (for example, payments for 4-week blitz programmes) are to be made by BACS prior to commencement of your first session.
     

  2. Monthly payments are to be set up on standing order for payment on the 1st of each month (or on a date otherwise agreed with MVPT) in advance.
     

  3. Payments in installments (3/6/9/12 months) are to be made by BACS on the agreed date. A reminder will be sent prior to ‘renewal’.
     

  4. MVPT  reserve the right to increase fees. If an increase occurs you will be given 3 months notice of the changes.
     

  5. Payments in cash or by cheque are not accepted,.

 

Refunds

 

  1. If you decide to cancel at least 24 hours prior to your first session then you will be entitled to a full refund on your 4-week blitz.
     

  2. No refunds will be given once your 4-week programme or monthly subscription has started, except where there are extenuating circumstances. This will be dealt with on an individual case basis.
     

  3. Any client who acts in an intimidating, abusive, violent or disrespectful manner may be refused from any programme or subscription with no recourse for refund of monies already paid.

 

Programme Structure

  1. Please see terms for individual programmes/packages.

  2. Monthly subscription is calculated on a 47 week format, so you are only charged for 47 weeks out of 52. 

  3. This leaves 5 weeks for which you are not charged which includes yours and my holidays, as well as any missed sessions.

 

Nutritional advice

 

  1. Please note that I am not a registered dietitian or nutritionist and can therefore only advise within the scope of healthy eating advice.
     

  2. Although I am able to offer advice, I will at no time tell you to follow a particular approach. Any advice given will be my opinion on what I believe will help you achieve your goals and compliment your training. Should you wish to follow this advice,then this is undertaken entirely by your own choice, under your own free will, and at your own risk.
     

  3. If you have an intolerance or special dietary needs then MVPT strongly recommend that you consult your GP and seek out the help of a nutritionist, where appropriate.

 

Third party services

 

  1. Where any third party is involved this is done so purely on recommendation. Please note that MVPT has no affiliation with any other organisation or individual (unless stated) and will accept no responsibility for their actions, advice or services.
     

 

Documents & Resources

 

  1. Any advice, plans and all other documents, and the information contained within them, is for personal use only. Distribution, publication or resale are not permitted.

 

Promotional Materials

 

  1. MVPT may take photographs and video footage during your session. This will be used for promotional and marketing purposes.
     

  2. If you do not wish to be included in marketing materials please make this very clear before starting any session, otherwise by joining (and therefore accepting these terms) you are deemed to have agreed to any photographs and/or videos and testimonials being used, as appropriate.
     

  3. When necessary, we would hope that you will offer short written and/or video testimonials of your experiences and regular updates on your progress. This is highly recommended as this encourages accountability. 


 

My promise to you

  1. I aim to offer the best service possible and will do my best to ensure you reach your goals every time

  2. I will do what I can within my professional scope to help you. 

 

  3. If you ever feel that your needs have not been met or my service has not been up to scratch then please get in touch and I will do my utmost to remedy the situation.

 

Miscellaneous 

 

  1. The purchase of any course, session, programme or product by Mae Vincent or MVPT is deemed as acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

 

  2. MVPT reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made,        the revised terms and conditions shall be posted on this website immediately.
